Kirk is a statistical geneticist by training with experience in bioinformatics and computational biology working with various levels of omics data for inferring the architecture of genotype–phenotype maps for complex traits and diseases. He holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine and was a Postdoc at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Along with his academic experience, he also brings experience in industry at early stage startups implementing computational methods for large NGS based screens. As Director of Computational Biology at Constantiam Biosciences, Kirk is focusing on developing and implementing robust methods to scale and make human genetic variant discoveries more actionable.
